March 21, 2023

GLENN COUNTY – On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, the County of Glenn Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a resolution ratifying the proclamation of a local emergency due to the recent March storms. A local emergency was proclaimed for the severe storms that impacted Glenn County beginning on March 10, 2023. These storms required response operations due to excessive flood waters which resulted in a breach on Hambright Creek in western Orland. Emergency protective measures to protect life and property were required.

GLENN COUNTY – On June 10, 2022 Glenn County Board of Supervisor, District 5, Ken Hahn, announced his resignation. Therefore, the District 5 seat is currently vacant and the California Governor, on behalf of the County of Glenn, is seeking applicants to fill the vacancy. District 5 represents the most eastern portion of Glenn County. District 5 includes the areas of Capay, Hamilton City, Ordbend, Bayliss, Glenn, Butte City and Afton.

GLENN COUNTY – On December 13, 2022, the Glenn County Board of Supervisors adopted resolutions honoring the service of Supervisor Paul Barr and Supervisor Keith Corum. County of Glenn District 2 Supervisor, Paul Barr, and District 4 Supervisor, Keith Corum, retire from office effective January 2, 2023.

County of Glenn Elected Officials Sworn Into Office

GLENN COUNTY – On Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 9:00am, seven newly elected officials of the County of Glenn were sworn into office. The ceremony took place in the Willows Memorial Hall Auditorium. The ceremony was well attended by the public, including family, friends and staff members.

Notably, the Board of Supervisors and County Staff were in attendance to welcome Monica Rossman, District 2 Supervisor, and Jim Yoder, District 4 Supervisor. 

County of Glenn Receives $17 Million Grant Award to Behavioral & Mental Health Infrastructure

GLENN COUNTY – Health and Human Services Agency Director, Christine Zoppi, announced the award of a $17,278,529 in grant funding for a county-based project that supports behavioral health infrastructure, giving the county new opportunities to address gaps in care and create sustainable improvements that better serve county residents.

GLENN COUNTY – On June 10, 2022 Glenn County Board of Supervisor, District 5, Ken Hahn, announced his resignation effective June 22, 2022. Supervisor Hahn is stepping down due to a planned relocation to Redding, CA to be closer to family and grandkids.

November 8, 2022 General Election Vote By Mail Ballots

GLENN COUNTY, CA - Due to Assembly Bill 37, which made permanent the requirement that counties mail ballots to every active registered voter for all elections, all voters will receive a Vote By Mail ballot for the November 8, 2022 General Election. Voters may return their ballots by mail, in a secure drop box, or to a Polling Place on election day. In addition, the elections office will be open for early voting, issuing replacement ballots, and additional services. If you go to a Polling Place, you may have to wait in line.
