AS HEARD IN COURT JUNE 23, 2017

PEOPLE V. RODRIGUEZ, JAIME- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273.5(a), Corporal Injury on the Mother of his Children, and two misdemeanor violations of Penal Code section 273.6(a), Violation of a Criminal Protective Order. Defendant was sentenced to 5 years in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Willows Police Department Sgt. Walter and Officer Sheldon and Victim Witness Advocate Pinedo.

PEOPLE V. JON FREDERICK KELLEY III- This incident occurred on December 25, 2020 in the city of Orland.  Defendant was convicted of felony violations of Penal Code sections 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon on Victim #1 with a special allegation 12022.5(a), Personal Discharge and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of Felony, 246, Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling on Victim #2, 22810(a), Use of Tear Gas by a Felon, 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Firearm, 69, Resist Peace Officer with Force or Violence on Victim #3, 71, Threaten Police Officer In Course of Duty on Victim #4, 422(a), Criminal Threats on Victim #5. Defendant was sentenced to 19 years state prison. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Carmon and Pinedo, CHP Officer Rodgers, Butte County CPS, and Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputies Sheldon, Martinez, White, Beckett, and Corporal Berlier.

PEOPLE V. HERNANDEZ, DENISE- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 530.5(a), Identity Theft. Defendant was also found in violation of mandatory supervision for the previous convictions of felony violations of Penal Code section 475(a), Possessing Forgery Paper, Penal Code section 459, Second Degree Burglary, and Penal Code section 496(a), Receiving Stolen Property. Defendant was sentenced to 4 years and 11 days in prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Fullmore.

PEOPLE V. MICHAEL ABEL-Defendant was previously convicted of felony violations of Penal Code section 459, First Degree Burglary and 211, Robbery, 22210, Possession of a Billy Club, and misdemeanor violation of 496(a), Possession of Stolen Property and was found in violation of probation for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd time. Defendant was sentenced to 5 years 8 months state prison. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Gray.

PEOPLE V. JODY SCOTT MATTIS - Defendant was convicted of felony violations of 3 separate counts of Penal Code section 459, Second Degree Burglary and a misdemeanor violation of Vehicle Code section 23152(f), Driving Under the Influence of Drugs. Defendant was sentenced to 2 years prison concurrent to his current Tehama County 3 year prison sentence. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with Orland Police Department Officer Roenspie, Glenn County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Draper, Deputies McIntyre, Cordova, White, and Ramirez.

AS HEARD IN COURT MARCH 17, 2017

PEOPLE v. HERNANDEZ, CONSUELO- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 23550/ 23152(a), DUI with 3 Prior DUI Convictions, and was found in violation of probation for a prior DUI. Defendant was sentenced to 420 days in county jail and 5 years of formal probation. The case was prosecuted by DDA Harbarger with assistance from CHP Officer Williams and Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Lemmon.

PEOPLE V. WILLS, CALEB- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273.5(a), Corporal Injury on Cohabitant. Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(4), Assault Likely to Cause Great Bodily Injury, was found in violation of probation, and probation was permanently revoked. Defendant was sentenced to 5 years in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Zarate.

PEOPLE V. CORRAL, DYLAN- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 23110(b), Throwing a Substance at a Vehicle on a Highway, and a prior Strike conviction. Defendant was sentenced to 6 years in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Carmon, Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Owens, and Glenn County Sheriff's Office Correctional Deputy White. 

AS HEARD IN COURT MARCH 9, 2018

PEOPLE V. MESZAROS, GEORGE- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 4573(a), Bringing Methamphetamine into the Jail. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years in prison with 1 year in custody and 2 years on mandatory supervision. The case was prosecuted by DDA Harbarger with assistance from Orland Police Department Officers Simpson and Cessna.

PEOPLE V. RAYMOND EDDIE VALLES - Defendant was previously convicted of felony violations of Penal Code section 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Firearm and Health and Safety Code section 11366, Maintaining a Place for Controlled Substances and was found in violation of probation for the 3rd time. Defendant was sentenced to 2 years 8 months state prison. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Moize.

GALARZA, RAUL JR.- Defendant was convicted of felony violations of Penal Code section 451(b), Arson to an Inhabited Structure, Penal Code section 236, False Imprisonment, and a prior Strike conviction. Defendant was sentenced to 10 years and 8 months in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Barnes and Sheldon, K9 Draco, Sergeant Gibbs, and Detectives Knight and Felton.

PEOPLE V. SHAWN DEARING – Defendant was previously convicted of felony violation of Penal Code section 211, Robbery, 273.5(f), Corporal Injury with a Prior DV, 136.1, Intimidation of a Witness, and 1320.5, Failure to Appear on a Felony Case and was found in violation of probation for the 1st time. Defendant was sentenced to 5 years 8 months state prison and probation was terminated. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Pfyl.

PEOPLE V. GOCHENOUER, BONNIE - Defendant was previously convicted of misdemeanor violations of Health and Safety Code sections 11350(a), Possession of Lorazepam, 11377(a), Possession of Methamphetamine, and 11364(a),Possession of a Meth Pipe. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 3rd time. Defendant was sentenced to 364 days jail and probation was terminated. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Permann.

PEOPLE v. ESQUIVEL, HERMILO JR.- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 646.9(a), Stalking, and a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 243(e)(1), Battery on a Person in a Former Dating Relationship. Defendant was sentenced to 240 days in county jail, 52-week Batterer’s Treatment Program, and 5 years formal probation. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Carmon.

PHILLIPS, MICHAEL JAMES- Defendant was convicted of felony violations of Penal Code section 459, Second Degree Burglary, Penal Code section 22210, Possession of a Billy Club, and a prior Strike conviction. Defendant was sentenced to 7 years and 3 months in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Owens.

PEOPLE V. NANCE, TRAVIS PAUL- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273.5(f)(1), Infliction of Corporal Injury on a Cohabitant with a Prior Domestic Violence charge and was found in violation of Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for the 3rd time. Defendant was sentenced to 210 days jail and PRCS was reinstated. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Van Eck.
